About Clinical Microbiomics
Your Expert Partner for Microbiome Analysis
At Clinical Microbiomics we offer expert microbiome analysis for clinical, pre-clinical and animal health studies including DNA extraction, sequencing and profiling, and biostatistics linking the microbiome to clinical data and outcomes.
Thanks to our proprietary pipeline for 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing and shotgun metagenomic sequencing, we can accurately analyze the taxonomical and functional differences of the microbiome between samples from different treatment groups to differences between diseased and healthy subjects.
Our team of microbiome specialists come from diverse scientific backgrounds, including bioinformatics, microbiology, antibiotic resistance, machine learning, cancer genomics, and preclinical and clinical studies. Our clients come from diverse research areas, including academic institutions, global pharma, nutrition companies, and biotech companies developing microbiome-targeted or microbiome-based products. We believe it is important to support you throughout your entire study – from study planning to the final report. Contact us or read more about our solutions and services.

Our Solutions and Services
Sample Preparation
We offer high-quality DNA extraction performed under highly controlled and traceable conditions in our advanced, Copenhagen-based, ISO17025 certified laboratory.
Sequencing
DNA sequencing is performed using Illumina-based 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing or shotgun metagenomics at highly competitive prices, even for deep sequenced samples.
Microbiome profiling
Comprehensive taxonomic and functional profiling using Metagenomic Species and our database with >200.000 strains and extensive sub-species resolution.
Data Analysis
We not only deliver data, but always include a scientific report with publication-ready figures to facilitate publication of the results.
Biostatistics
Linking microbiome data to clinical data and outcomes is key to understand the role and the effect of the microbiome. We assist our clients with correlation analyses and advanced biostatistics for both taxonomy and function.
Customized Solutions
As a unique service we offer de-novo discovery of microbes based on the samples from your study. This advanced and computational heavy procedure, based on the MGS concept, allows you to circumvent the limitations of standard reference-based approaches only, which only describes previously identified microbes (e.g. with reference genomes). Thus, we offer to identify new cohort-specific species for describing the full microbial diversity of your samples.
